Students, here is your chance to attend a professional wind power event in western Canada!

CanWEA is pleased to award a full delegate pass to a college or university student to attend the CanWEA Western Forum on April 27 and 28, 2015 in Vancouver, British Columbia. This full delegate registration pass includes a networking reception, continental breakfast and lunch on April 28, and supports the student to attend forum sessions on current wind energy issues in Western Canada, meet industry leaders in the renewable energy sector, and connect with potential future employers.

CanWEA’s Western Forum will explore the political, economic, social and environmental contexts for continued development of the wind energy industry in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Sessions will provide perspectives from a broad range of stakeholders on achievements, business prospects and the winning conditions for sustainable growth of the wind energy industry in Western Canada.

The delegate pass to CanWEA’s Western Forum will be awarded based on demonstrated interest in wind energy development and potential for future contributions to the renewable energy community.

The Challenge:

Students are asked to submit a 200-300 word blog describing your interest in wind energy, its importance and how attendance at the Forum will benefit you, your community or your campus.
